Description
This handcrafted humidor is made of Quilted Cherry finished in a clear, hand-rubbed lacquer, allowing the wood to shimmer like a piece of polished stone.
What makes this wood so special is the dramatic cross graining which seemed to explode once it was dyed a dark burnt umber and finally lacquered.
The inspiration for the Prairie Schooners is the Prairie Style of Residential Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. A long, cantilevered, low-pitched roof and sweeping shadow lines results in a simple elegance, giving the material it is made of the opportunity to fully express itself.
The overall dimensions are 21 ˝ “wide x 15 ˝ “ deep x 8 7/16” high and weigh 17 lbs.
